Around Rogers Park: Lifeline Theater Thanks RPBG for its Support
- Summer, 2019

In a May 17th letter addressed to the Rogers Park Builders Group, Lifeline Theater Directors Allison Cain and Ilesa Duncan wrote to thank our organization, and Jay Johnson in particular, for our financial support of the theater’s accessibility programming.
This past April, Jay ran the Boston Marathon, one of the most prestigious marathons in the world, and one that you must qualify to enter. Jay used the opportunity of the marathon to raise close to $17,000 for the theater which they have put to good use, supporting a range of theater productions and workshops specifically targeted to people with disabilities including hearing, vision, cognitive and other impairments.

RPBG is proud to sponsor an organization with such longstanding ties to the community, and such a deep commitment to its improvement. Congratulations to both Jay and Lifeline for all their accomplishments, generosity and contributions to the Rogers Park community.
In addition to Jay’s gift, RPBG partnered with Lifeline for the third consecutive year this spring to underwrite a theater program at Sullivan High School, implemented by Lifeline’s dedicated staff. On June 3rd, Sullivan’s students performed at a show at Lifeline Theater that was attended by many RPBG members and contributors.
